Storm Of Yellow Crocus

This is what spring is all about. These lovely yellow Crocuses are at the back of the Royal Well Bus Station in front of a Beech hedge. The area was tidied up in 1998 as part of a commemorative garden for Princess Diana. The unsightly trees and over grown shrubs were replaced with a Beech hedge and a dozen Silver Birch trees. This renovation in turn revealed the Royal Crescent buildings and opened up the whole area. Its just a shame that in front of one of the Countries finest Georgian Crescents is the Cheltenham Bus Station!

I've also posted this photo to take my mind off of the worst storm of the year that is due to hit us today. We are told to expect gale force winds of around 80 mph and torrential rain, so that'll be nice!

Awesome picture ;) still haven't seen any spring flowers around the Boston area this year. Good luck getting through the gale unscathed. Those winds are hurricane force!

Ouch! That's going to be fun. Hopefully, the roofs hold up! :)

Thanks for that lovely splash of color and hope. Today the weather was lovely here if a bit on the windy side. Soon we shall see the first buds of spring. Can't wait.

Beautiful photo. Hard to believe there could be anything but sun when flowers like that are out. Did the storm hit you? Doesn't appear to have come our way.

That's a lovely picture, I love spring. It's tipping it down in Cheltenham at the moment, I would hate to, say, walking into town at the moment!

The color is so cheery! Thanks for this taste of spring. Good luck in the storm. I hope it doesn't do any damage.

Idon't know if you got that horrid storm but if you did...it will make mincemeat of such flowers! I had great weather in San Francisco and came home to the same scenery I left with....snow.! too funny.

Lovely yellow "storm" of crocuses. I can 't wait for them to push through the soil in Ontario!

Sorry about the bad weather though.

I love this photo - a beautiful close-up. I hope they (and you!) survive the storm without too much of a battering. It makes a change that I'm glad to be in Scotland because of having better weather than down south! (of course, it's cold and wet, but at least we're not being battered by storm winds)

Wow. This is a beautiful flower. I hope we get this far along with spring soon. We need to get rid of this snow first.
