Sunny Dandelion

I thought I'd start the week with a bit of sunshine! The weather here has been really good this last week and all the plants are blooming. Even the weeds look good!

Are dandelions considered "pests" over there? Here most people hate them, but I think they are lovely. Of course, I'm not a gardener... I'm looking at the full size photo as I type this. A very nice closeup, indeed.; Mon May 19, 02:10:00 am

Anonymous said...: I only have a communal court out the back of our flats, but the tiny bit of grass is *full* of dandelions. I'm sure my neighbours think I'm mad as I keep going out and pulling the flowers off before they go to seed! I've got some flower pots out there and they even managed to invade a couple of those! grrrr.

Janet Kincaid said...: Isn't funny how even something as noxious as a dandelion can look good and be the subject of a photo? I took some myself a few weeks ago and laughed the whole time I was doing it. For years, I remember my father battling these things in our yard while the neighbor three houses down refused to eradicate his and let them flourish!
