Kite and blue sky
While up on the top of Leckhampton Hill on Monday we saw lots of things going on - walkers, cyclists, families playing, picnics and kite fliers. There were a group of teenagers sitting around watching one of their own trying to control this large professional kite. The top of the hill is always windy, even in summer, and perfect for kite flying. At times the lad on the end of the strings was struggling to stay with his two feet firmly on the ground!

Great fun, I'd like to be on the business end of that kite!
Cool shot.
Maybe he should have chosen an even bigger kite so he can really get off the ground!
Okay, now that thought has got me all wistful…
Lovely image, Marley.
Cool minimalist image. Lovely lilting sky you have there. We get a lot of kite flying here as it's so windy,
Beautiful sky i like angle of this photo
Funny, it looks like a bird. Have a nice weekend!
I like just the kite and the sky, keeping people out of the image.
Really? It's windy there all the time. Thought I'd left wind behind.
Now about kites. Have you read the kite runner? Damn good read if you haven't.
Ah, memories of 'Mary Poppins'!
Excellent perspective of the kite - the viewer knows it's being held tightly!
