Dandelion

I suppose the humble dandelion must be one of the worlds most recognisable weeds. They are a bit scruffy looking, have a long tap root, seed themselves all over the place and grow anywhere. This clump had taken root in between some paving slabs. I like the contrast between the flowers and the litter in the background, behind the fence. Not the prettiest image but its out there to be photographed.

Those are very healthy looking dandelions. Look good enough to eat (I've never tried eating them though). Nice juxtabosition of a beautiful weed and yucky litter.

Not all over the world — none here at all. But with such bright-colored flowers, I wouldn't mind having these weeds at all!

It may be a week and noxious, but it certainly is a pretty yellow! Reminds me that my father used to make dandelion wine...sweet, but oh so good. Always got a juice glass of the juice before bedtime as a kid. Seems very civilized to me!

I know some people who have them in their yards hate them, but I love the dandelion. Their color is so cheerful. I loved to blow on them as a kid when they get all puffy. Love this colorful shot!

I adore them stubborn Be uggers, I admire there can grow anywhere attitude and sunny colour. Our garden birds eat them. It's a beauty to me, naturally.
