Twinkle Twinkle

Some of you may say that this photo is blurred, but I say its soft focus! Everything looks so bright, colourful and festive at the moment - shops, houses, windows, trees - its lovely. These are the lights in the Beechwood Arcade. Yes, I took the risk of being told off by that security guard again. Luckily he was nowhere to be seen. Probably stuffing his face with mince pies. Anyway, the photo looked clear on the camera screen but on the computer it was a different story. I still thought it was worth posting though.

Enjoy your weekend.

i like it too, very festive and colorful! sometimes the 'blurred' ones capture just the right moment and atmosphere too... this is what i used to see without my glasses (before getting lasik) =)

We shall refer to it as surreal. You shot it as you saw it and this is the result and that is pure photography. The soft focus has actually heightened the interest of the girl on the poster it makes me search deeper into the image. Ooh that was a bit artsy fartsy.

Re the security guard I refer you to my earlier remembered comment. "stick a gobstopper in his gob."

Marley, Stick to that story. I have so many grand shots from Paris that now that I blow them up on my IMAC are 'soft" as they say. Geeezzzz. I want to show you all but I know all those PHoto junkies out there will be tsk, tsking! Damn. I"m glad you showed us this one. I love it. That's what lights look like through a window. Go for it my friend! AND TAKE THAT CAMERA IN THE CAR WHEREVER YOU GO!!!!
Oh I love B's comment. Artsy fartsy. Long live artsy fartsy.

Soft focus sounds good to me. Festive is what we need. Bring on more of it especially with such a grey day here today. I thought we might get a shot of your Xmas party today.

You sure it's not an effect of your party hangover? ;P

a beautiful representation of the festive season indeed!

Probably the sensor was confused, as it didn't know what to focus on. It still shows off the spirit of Christmas retailing!

It's beautiful...I like it just the way it is!

I like it just how it is too! Soft focus is fine, even if it's unintentional!
