Seeing Double

One of the swans on Pitville Lake. As you can see from another park photo, Christmas and life have got in the way of new photographs.

Although I love the festive season I'll be glad when things get back to normal. One good thing - I've nearly finished my Christmas shopping. Only a few things left to get, to then give to Santa, for him to put into Phoebe's stocking! I have still got Christmas cards to write and post, but I'll do that at the weekend. Best thing about Christmas? The works party! And that's tonight! Ours is at a hotel close by, so I can walk home and no need for a taxi - more money for drink! The downside is going to work tomorrow with a hangover, but we'll all be in the same boat. I guess Friday will be a-go-slow day!

Beautiful photo Marley! Back in my working days, it always seemed they'd schedule our Christmas party on a weeknight, I hated that! Have fun!

Double the beauty. So very tranquil too - nice for the hectic season.
LOL on Lynn's post. We had our Year-end-celebration last Friday - noon to 3. Still managed a couple of beers. There was 200+ people & we do silly games like scavenger hunt. Our table won that one - the baloon was a inflated glove, map was a GPS...Hope your party was great.

the swan seems like an excellent metaphor for a drunken office party!

if you're seeing double before your party, beware! lovely reflection shot. hope you have a great time at your party!
our company had their christmas party at a posh country club this year - when I rolled into the parking lot with my rusty truck, I'll be the attendant thought I was the gardener. heh. couldn't drink but one glass of wine 'cause I was driving. pity that, the boss was buying.

I hope you survived the evening! Seeing double before you attend a party does not bode well for you. It's a great photo with a beautiful subject.

GORGEOUS PHOTO! (Sorry, I just had to shout.) ;)

So, can we assume you had a great time last night? Easy to tell, the more lousy one feels the next day, the better the time they had the night befor. The ying and the yang.

The swan photo is so lovely! Hope you had a great time at your party!! I can relate to the crush of things to do before Christmas. I'm in the same boat! Oh well, it's better to relax and enjoy the season.

Trust you had a good night with your workmates. Hope you didn't have too much to drink and joined this swan in the water on the way home!
