While walking around Imperial Gardens, taking in the Literature Festival, I spotted these two enjoying the Autumn sun. It was a bit chilly for sunbathing but they were taking advantage of the fine weather. The only time I lie in the sun is while I'm on my holiday abroad, what about you?
I'm going to keep yesterdays competition running until tomorrow. The leader of the pack is Denton, and I'm sure a postcard will be on its way to him, but he has got one wrong! (Eleven right, he really did his research!) I won't tell you which one, check out yesterdays comments to see if you can see his error.

what fun
Nice lazy day on a lovely and colorful lawn!
I love the sun! And the sun loves me back too — I never burn. When he's not around, I get all sorts of problems with my skin. You won't catch me lying directly on the grass though — that'll make me itch horribly! But it's not unusual to see me standing in full sunlight while everyone else around me is squeezing into whatever shade is available.
eck it is a bit too wet for that kinda thing up here.
Ah, the last vestiges of warm weather... Sigh.
(On a completely unrelated note, Marley: I wanted to email you something this a.m., but can find no contact information for you. Could you email me, please? You'll find my address in my blog profile. Thanks!)
Oh my! Are these flowers Morning Glories? I haven't seen one planted before. they look like little colorful cups! i love the colors Marley! Great Job!
Thanks for the advice on my last post, I truly appreciate it!
Steven^^
It's a fabulous photo with the purples and yellows...and oh yeah...the people!!!!!
We've had a return to summer-like temperatures here in the San Francisco Bay Area, too, resulting in similar sites as yours.
Stephen, the flowers look like pansies to me. I'm down south at the moment and it's sunny and dry (but not exactly tropical temperatures). I doubt I'd be doing this in Glasgow right now (unless I had a wetsuit).
This is such a happy picture Marley! I just love it!
As for laying in the sun, I used to lay out all the time as a teen (remember I'm from San Diego, you have to get tan, lol) now I'm super careful when I am in the sun and never lay out anymore!
By the way, I thought your mushroom joke was funny and texted it to my daughter earlier, lol
Ahhh....young and in love. What is better than that?
This is nothing short of delicious. Love among the blooms.
