A golden light was pouring through my front window the other evening, so I got up to have a look and was met by this stunning sky. I grabbed my camera, poked my arm right out of the window, pressed the button, and hoped for the best. Luckily it came out quite well. Notice that I wasn't so bothered that I went outside to take the picture! For another (better) view of this sky check out Mewli's owners blog.

This is NICE! I like the cream trails, the soft grey sky and the puffy straight lines heading off at different angle. Very arty!
Happy Sky Watch ;-)
Perfect one for Skywatch! Happy Skywatch! Hope you can visit my SWF entry too...
This is so pretty....Love the "Z"!
They are usually called contrails here (short for condensation, I think), but there is an emerging subculture who like to call them chemtrails, and seem to feel that jet exhaust is more alarming than that which comes from ground operated vehicles.
This could have been a lines shot aswell. Amazing shot, especially as it was through a window. You honestly can't tell. Really abstract, arty and stunning. I'm very impressed again with your photography here.
Busy sky!
Sometimes, it's the candid shots that make the best photos.
I assume those vapors were created by an airplane passing by, right? Either that or an UFO just flew over your sky.
These look great! REally awesome job! Go you!
Great shot with the light reflecting on the vapour trails. Love the colour.
Great photo, and I like how you take them, sticking your arm out a window, that's my kinda shot :) Happy SkyWatch photo.
perfectly composed!
Lovely colours. It reminds me of Zorro's "Z".
A stunning sky indeed and very well captured
What beautiful light. When you see wonderful jetstreams like this it makes it that much harder to want to be 'green' about it and take the train.
Yep, the mark of Zorro.
Great vapor trails!
Great photo Marley! Very cool!
The jets were busy. Love the golden color.
Very well done MArley! A very interesting shot!
Wow! This is an exceptional shot! Bravo!
great shot - is Manchester airport busy you ask - sure is which is why you are always likely to see one in my sky shots - they are still high enough here though not to be too noisy.
Very nice perspective.

Mewli must have approved of your antic and being a fine judge of a good photo thought enough was enough and much more important to be scratched than have you dashing about the place.
beautiful! i love the when these criss cross across the sky!
pretty cool or an arm-out-the-window shot.
The mark of Zorro!
