Here in Montpellier this Penfold post box isn't in danger of being removed, what with the beady eyes of the Caryatids keeping watch. Although they haven't managed to stop the finial on the top going AWOL, but with no arms its difficult to apprehend thieves!
And now I'm leaving post boxes alone as I fear I could become a 'post box nerd'!

Are you saying photographing one subject continuously makes you a nerd? Nutter in my bridge case. I am afraid, knowing the Dudley connection and now from Hyde DP the Bournemouth connection I am hooked. I lived in Bournemouth for a year so I will of course be hooked on the postbox bonanza.
If they're in charge of security, maybe they should look left and right once in a while, instead of straight ahead?
Very unique and lovely pillars. The mailbox is very striking against the drab colors of this corner.
Now I'm going to have that song stuck in my mind the whole day!
I'm with Hilda, I'm going to be humming it all day too!
You, nerdy? Shurely not! :)
Great title!
Thank you so much, Marley, for your congratulations!
I saw a Georgian postbox yesterday and was tempted to photograph it but felt a bit self-conscious in the context so didn't but I may go back another day as I'm fairly sure it won't be disappearing like something else nearby.
are there really such people? I like the Mr Bean where he almost gets stuck in one of the red boxes.
No no keep em coming. Love the red post boxes
That's a great red postbox! And the Caryatids are lovely, too!
Marley, don't stop your post box series on my account. I like them!!!
