The nuts, bolts and iron from yesterdays post all make up this rather unusual bench. There are several of them alongside the Honeybourne cycle path. This path, away from the main roads, links one side of town to the other, and follows the route of a former railway line. I doubt if the benches are made from the material of the Honeybourne line, as it ceased to exist many years ago and the seats are a recent addition, but it is an effective nod to the paths former life. I like them, though they're not that comfortable to sit on!

No, they don't look comfortable at all. But they're great-looking and definitely very appropriate to the place's history.
I definitely wouldn't sit on them. Tie my laces yes maybe. Are you sure it is not some sort of macabre exercise step? At least it's recycling, and that is always a good thing.
You should bring your own cushion.
It's very attractive, in an industrial way. I'd give it a sit and make my decision that way. I like it.
Lord Marley, Nobody wants to sit on this darn thing, but I love the swooping arch of the bars. It's a nice composition adn the greenery adds a softness ot the hardware!
looks unusual but artistic!
How very bizarre. It looks a bit like a giant sling shot. If someone jumps on the top ends, that block of wood will go hurtling into the air :-D
strange, neat but strange.
Marley this bench is really weird. Is it stable?
I have shown one of your photos on my blog today, with credit to you of course. I do hope this is okay.
How interesting, Marley! :)
If I were tired enough, I'd find this a welcome site (and sit) for sure.
Thanks for telling me about the Isle of Man blog. Lovely photo!
See you soon again.

Looks more like a sculpture than a bench!
I like it! Maybe it looks uncomfortable but if your totally worn out from hiking, it might seem a bit more comfy! I love the look of it though!
That's an interesting take on a bench. I guess it's a very artistic version. It's cool how they used railroad materials. I like Ming's idea of bringing your own cushion!
I'd never have thought this was a bench - how very bizarre! I like it though!
While you offer to allow us to sit on the line, here's The End of The Line!.... ;-)
Artsy looking benche, but wow, not to cozy to sit upon.
It looks like "stairway to heaven" hahaha......
It may not be comfortable, but i certainly is an imaginative bench!
