Castle Coupling

The reason for my absence this weekend? We were at a wedding. No, not mine! We were invited to our friends wedding at Clearwell Castle, in the Forest of Dean, which is about 30 miles from Cheltenham. I had the pleasure of creating the wedding flowers for the day, something I haven't done before, though I have done flowery things in the past. Anyway, I was pleased with the end results and, more importantly, so were the bride and groom.

The impressive Clearwell Castle.

The tables ready for the wedding reception.

The brides bouquet (all my own work!)

The happy couple.

I'm not sure how I manged to get the effect in the last photo, as I had taken full advantage of the free bar! Well, it would have been rude not to!

Oooh, Marley, it's all lovely! Good job on the flowers and the photos. It was never my dream to get married in a castle so much as to live in one. Still is, and it could still happen...maybe...

The exterior and the interior of the castle is so so so different!

The outside looks cold. The inside looks so warm and happy!

Congratulations to your friend, the happy couple.

Beautiful flowers, and the castle may seem cold, but I think it's great.

Lovely castle! I've heard they're a lot of upkeep, so folks rent them out a lot for events. Must be fun to attend events in such settings! Beautiful flowers, too, Marley. I'll make a note to call you the next time I have an event!

:) A beautiful and happy couple, a grand castle and beautiful settings. You did a great job on the bouquet - why, by golly, would you pass by a free bar. It was pure artistic inspiration as we can tell by the last photo.

Oh I want to get married there! Awesome job on the flowers, thet're gorgeous! Agreed, it would have been rude to not take full advantage of the open bar but you still managed to capture the radiance of this happy couple!
