In The Red
All this red caught my eye and I just had to capture it! The Red Telephone Box is recognised around the world as being British, as are our Post Boxes too. The red building in the background is Cafe Rouge, a French themed restaurant, on the Promenade. The weather has been quite warm in Cheltenham this week and people have taken advantage of alfresco dinning. We are due snow on Sunday, so it'll be back indoors to eat!

Well, I vowed to put you off for a couple days, but you popped up in my reader just too soon. GREAT photo today. I think this one is my favorite today, too. Great minds must think alike?
That is a lot of red! I love those phone booths...
Marley! That photo is WONDERFUL! Love everything about that shot. I'd print it, frame it and hang it in the study. Oh, yes.
Red makes the telephone and mailbox easier to find!
Yes, it is a very red corner of your world and you captured it beautifully. Wish we had telephone booths like that, but now there are few, if any, public telephones around. The way of the cell phone!
lovely picture
well composed
I love it.
This red caught my eye too and I had to stop by..
There even seems to be a woman wearing a red outfit behind the telephone cabin!!
Have a good WE.
Oooooh Marley this is such a beautiful photo. Really gorgeous.
Love the red shot. Even the woman in the picture is wearing a red coat! Very colorful!
What a great capture, Marley. That's your eye, not missing a good shot.
Ahhh...the classic British icon.
But do people still really use the public phones? In NYC, almost all the phone booths are broken. The phone company don't even bother to fix most of them anymore (unless someone complains) because everyone has a cell/mobile phone, it seems.
If it was a red theme day, you would win with that composition.
Wow, now that's red! I have a picture of one of these phone booths on my Portsmouth Daily Photo blog as well that was given to Portsmouth, Virginia citizens by Portsmouth, English citizens. Ours is quite faded though, but still neat to look at! I was sorry to read an article recently that said that they were thinking about discontinuing these phone booths in England because of heavy cell phone use. They are so remarkable!
