Sunday is now Two Things Challenge day for me. It's nice to have to think about what to photograph (if you know what I mean!) and how best to come up with something original for the subject. Basically, I'm enjoying the challenge!
As you can see today's two photos aren't that attractive but they show an important part of life. These recycling skips are at my local supermarket. Most of the big stores have these in their car parks, even though Cheltenham Borough Council do fortnightly kerbside collections of recyclable waste. As well as skips for paper and plastic they also have skips for tin foil, cans, shoes, clothes, books, cardboard and drink cartons. At the moment cardboard and plastic aren't collected so we take ours to the skips. Well, you've got to do your bit!
If you want to join in head over to the Two Things Challenge blog.
These photos were taken on my camera phone.

I need to find one of the red ones. York doesn't recycle plastic bottles from the kerbside collection.
I like the two things challenge idea. Will take a look at the site!
Brilliant! I love it. You're right, though. They are rubbish. ;-)
(I have to add a disclaimer here, though, because if anyone in my industry sees that I've just referred to recyclables as rubbish, I'll never work in this town again. I <3 recycling! There. That should keep me safe.)
Pretty good camera phone, Marley! Of course the operator, too.
We get issued recycling bags from our council. Ours are regularly stolen. Why would anyone want to steal a recycling bag. Beyond me.
recycling sure is the best way forward...
I'm sorry but these photos are rubbish LOL
Great recycling photos
your camera phone makes rubbish look good
You know I say not the camera bit the photographer.
Marley, what a load of rubbish you have for us today, not once but twice.
Great idea for the theme.
I would never publish a pictue from my lousy phone camera. It's pretty much rubbish in that respect, but an okay phone. Yours does a great job.
A great phone shot! Recycling bins looks the same over here. They collect at our curb once a week.....paper, plastic, cardboard, all of it except stuff like motor oil and things of that nature.....but you can take the motor oil to the businesses that do that and they will recycle it for you.
I think yours are better, Marley. I like the colors and the almost identical view of both bins and the directness of the shots. Really hard to get a good looking picture of rubbish - so that's why I was evasive with mine. My friend & I had been wondering if all the recycleables go anywhere...at least in our area I know they are sorted & shipped off.
Cool idea! One for paper, one for plastic, and both of them metal and rusting.
Wow, these bins are really huge!
The ones we get in tiny singapore are errr, tiny! LOL...
Excellent! We do not have these bins. But once a week, the recycling truck picks up our recyclable materials.
