Not All Pretty

Just to show you that its not all leafy parks, Regency buildings and posh ladies luncheoning in Cheltenham. Like all towns and cities we have problem areas and grotty corners. This is a boarded up building that has been empty for as long as I can remember. Not pretty but reality.

Not pretty but we do need to see it. I have trouble doing this. Maybe I'll get better at it. I like this composition and the photo a lot Marley!!!

Seems that we had the same thing on our mind today. It's not easy or pretty, but I think it's good to post about these issues every now and then.

Thanks, Marley.

I've been missing a lot of posts lately so I surfed backwards. Loved St. Paul's church and the tavern...both necessary for salvation!

You are so right, we need to see it. Like Virginia, I have difficulty in photographing things I don't care for. I block them out. Good for you, Marley.

I do photograph the not-so-pleasant-to-see things around me, and a few make it to my blog. Aside from the ripped poster, this photo looks pretty tidy.

I love these parts of a city. Very often one can learn more about a place in these areas than the pretty areas. Have a good weekend.

I'm the same way, Marley. But you've proven something to me and inspired me as well. Not all pretty, perhaps, but all interesting when it's well shot.

Excellent observation and I think Pertrea's thoughts are spot on. The colours on the grey really jump out.

I say, Marley, I bet you could work some macro magic on this and come up with a winner!
