Theme Day - Yellow

Click on the photo for more detail

Its the first of April and its that Theme Day time of the month. As you can see from my photo collage I liked this theme (and that's not an April Fool!) For once I've been prepared and have been taking lots of yellow photos for the last three weeks. I had so many to choose from that I couldn't decide (a first for me on Theme Day) so I got creative.

Here's a run down of the photos - New gas pipes on the High Street, litter poster and bin, macro of a yellow blossom, more gas pipes and a yellow rubbish sack, CCTV sign, fire hydrant marker, a little yellow birdie, Forsythia bush in full flower, divide on the ramp of the Regent Arcade car park, and, finally, Snappy Snaps photo shop on the Lower High Street.

No prizing for guessing I'm blown away by the birdie. Look he even showing his best side. This yellow post is red hot.

The montage is great because it is so diverse. The bird is very sweet!

Marley, you've been busy. What a fab collage for today. It works so well as one great burst of yellow, yet so many different subjects.

Ah, Marley, you've simply outdone yourself this month! Fun images ... like your little yellow birdie most!

But you know, Marley, you've now set the bar pretty high and we're all expecting you to come to the party every month well prepared -:)

Happy Theme Day!!

This is such a lovely arrangement of even lovelier shots. My particular faves (and its hard to chose) are the curve of the ramp, the flower macro, the sweet bird (is that a canary or a wild bird, and if so, what is it? So pretty.), and the forsythia. Good to see the camera shop in Cheltenham, and those pipes are so cool. How did you compose the beautiful mosaic. I have no talent for it, just upload a set of photos in and order I hope might come out, then fd's flicker toys throws them together into a grid. Your composition is super nice. I'm glad you had fun getting ready for theme day. I love it when folks really get into it. So creative!

A yellow delight! The birdie IS really amazing. And I like the H (for hospital?) sign very much - maybe because it's a little worn & tired looking.
