Last To Leaf

Not actually the last leaf but one of a very few on this tree, and there aren't many left on others. It won't be long until they'll all be naked for winter. The very windy weekend helped a lot of the trees shed their autumn clothes. Is it spring yet?!

I love the holiday season - beautiful falling snow, Christmas decorations, especially lights, - but I don't particularly like the ongoing COLD & ICE we seem to get around here. So, I know what you mean by 'Is it spring, yet?' Hang in there!

Marley, you're really getting literary: yesterday Hemingway and today O.Henry! As a child I dearly loved the short story, "The Last Leaf." If you're not familiar with the story, google it to read the summary to see why it would appeal to a little girl, and, of course, there's always O'Henry's surprise endings. Your photo immediately brought it to mind, and I smiled at the memory!
