While I was having a sneaky peak around Pitville Pump Room last week I snuck into a side room off of the balcony. The room was full of these oriental-looking musical instruments, not what I was expecting to find in the Pump Room. Does anyone have any idea what country they might originate from? I have no clue.

My first guess was Thailand but the comment above mine made me think maybe Indonesia. The long, floor "xylophones" remind me of my trip to Bali! Spectacular photo of your treasure chest find!

With the dragon on top, it looks like traditional Chinese instruments.
But they should be Indonesian Gamelan instruments. :-)

They look like a lot of cooking pots. I used to get in trouble for banging them when I was little.
They're gorgeous! And they look Indonesian to me too. Cheltenham doesn't happen to have a gamelan ensemble, does it? If you ever have the opportunity to watch/listen, don't miss it!
I would never guess, but after checking I can say they are from Indonesia! My hint was Korea or even China... totally wrong! :-)
