Unearthly Flowers

Over the last few Saturdays I've shown a few flower photos and today is no different. Well it is, these are giant alien looking blooms and seed heads. I love the colour contrast in the above photo.

These giant (ten foot tall!) poppy seed heads look like perfect replicas.

And here is a colourful close up.

I'm away until the middle of next week but posts will appear by magic.

Love that brilliant blue against the green grass and why is that grass so green anyway??? That blue reminds me of a book I just read to Braden and Dalton last night called Chicken Chuck. Little Chuck the chicken ate a magic blue seed and grew a brilliant blew feather on his forehead, then he thought he was all that until the monkey at the circus ripped it right out of his skull,lol...but there is a surprise ending if you still want to read it,lol

There are so many things I could say about the first image but I think they are best left in my head. These really are the most perculiar images to view through beer goggles.

The blue is a magnificant color. However it looks like an alien creature.

When I saw the thumbnail photo I thought maybe it was some Chulily glass. I've photographed several pieces recently and if you are interested you can see them here:

That first one is alien looking, alright, but I like it. Love yesterday's bug too! I don't mind steel bugs — it's the real ones that I hate ;)

I really really really want to go to this place and see these sculptures. This is exactly my kind of place :)
