To Infinity And Beyond!

Well, what else could I have titled today's post?! These guys, dressed as Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Pixar animated film Toy Story, were on the High Street doing their bit for Comic Relief. They were selling Red Nose Day balloons to kids and adults alike.

For those that don't know Comic Relief is a charity started by Richard Curtis (writer of Four Weddings And A Funeral, Notting Hill etc), and other comedians, in the 80's. Every other year Comic Relief organises Red Nose Day (this years is on Friday 13th March) which see celebrities and the public doing all sorts of mad and courageous things to raise money (like a group of celebs climbing Kilimanjaro this year - they have raised over one and a half million pounds!) and wearing red noses! To read more about the charity, that is working to end poverty, head here and find out more about Red Nose Day here. But, most importantly, Do Something Funny For Money!

Whee! That is so fun! And for charity too — just wonderful!

Red Nose is great and so are these Toy Story figures raising money.

Oh yes I expect to be parting with lots of cash this week. Great title. Buzz lightyear reminds me of so many real life delusional egotistical dummies I come across here. Usually PE teachers.

They had a red nose day here, too, on January 1st and raised a lot of money for charities, hospitals in particular. I like this photo!

I didn't know they did that, but it's a great idea! I hope they raise much more too!

That's a really fun photo. I much prefer Red Nose Day to other charity-a-thons.

Oh I've heard of Comic Relief, what a great cause! Toy Story is one of my favorites still :)

I never heard of either until just now. Sounds like a worthy cause though. Photo is nice too.

4 weddings & a... is one of my faves. what a clever fellow - I remember Bibi's red nose day post. I also remember when Toy Story came out - it was such a wonderful movie to see with a little kid.
I also like this post very much.
