Wedding

No, not mine! This was a wedding party just after they'd left the Abbey, on their way to the marquee in the walled garden. Seconds after I took this photo the wooden door was closed and the happy couples day was private once more. I just thought this made a lovely photo (ignore the tree!)

I sure hope it isn't yours — I would've been aghast that you were taking photos! ;D

It's a lovely peek into their wedding. Looks like a wonderful place to have one too.

sometimes i wish i had a camera in my forehead. by the time i would have got my camera out of my bag they would have closed that door for sure. you captured such a sweet moment for you and for them and for us.

Right place, right time, quick reflexes; it's a doorway into someone's story, well-framed.
Thanks for your comments on my blog regarding color/b&w. And those mysterious manual settings. I don't know an f-stop from a bus stop, but I intend to find out - it's my goal for this year.

Oh no I like the trees. with the trees and the doorway it really does feel like we are peeking into another world. It's a charming shot

That is a wonderful shot - beautifully framed, hint of action - what a stroke of luck that you were in the right place at the right time!
