Deerhurst Flower Festival - Day Two

More of the beautiful flowers at Deerhurst Flower Festival. As I mentioned yesterday this years theme was Sounds Of Song And Praise. The photo above shows the flowers that represent the Gates Of Jerusalem Hosanna. The end of the pews were decorated with red gladioli and bright yellow sunflowers, creating a colourful walk way down the aisle. The photo below is part of the display entitled Resounding Bells Of Time. I'll show the bells tomorrow.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and condolences on my blog today. The funeral was today, and I felt as if I were in a dream, and that it wasn't really happening. It's hard to wake up in the morning all alone, though of course I have my children, one of whom lives here, the other in the US, but it's not the same.

He left us with a huge hole in our hearts that we'll try to fill with memories of all the good times we had together.

I'll look up the poem you suggested to me.

That first photo is absolutely gorgeous! What wonderful colours.

I was in your neck of the woods this weekend (at Greenbelt). Gorgeous weather for camping (not!) - thank goodness for wellies!

Gorgeous flowers! I can imagine the floral scent this display gives off.

Beautiful! The one that looks like a sea anemone in the first photo is interesting and I've never seen flowers as blue as those in the second photo.

I'm itching to put the white roses with the white anthuriums. :)

It must have smelled wonderful with all of those lovely flowers. I really like the perspective in the first shot. You were lucky to get to see the show!

The yellow spider chrysanthemum on the right corner of photo #1 is amazing.
