As promised, a return to Cheltenham. On the first and last Friday of the month the Farmers Market comes to town. There are about 30 stalls selling all sorts of food, drink and plants produced in Gloucestershire. I don't get to go very often, as I'm normally at work, but as I was off last week, I seized the opportunity to go. I came home with bread, cakes, samosas, goats cheese, white wine plus a few other goodies! The Farmers Market is a really good idea and it allows people to support local producers. I think most towns and cities have one these days. What is the one near you like?
Don't forget Theme Day tomorrow!

Hi Marley, we call it Pasar Tani here. The vegetables and fruits sold are sometimes cheaper than the normal markets.
Hello Marley, thank you for visiting my photoblog. What you "sell" here looks very much like what I sell on my blog :-))) (farmers's markets).
To answer your question as to how far away from the rabbit I was when I took the photo?
I was about four feet or so. I usually try to get as close as I can and work from there.
I enjoyed your photography as I usually do, Marley and I like to see people out and about and see what they carry and what they wear.
I have been thinking why people choose to shoot pictures from here and not from over there.
And what do they think about before and while they press the shutter.
Odd things to think about but it is akin to what do barking dogs sound like in different nations.
Thanks for your visit to my blog and for the comment there. I do my best to repay visits with visits and comments with comments.

This is one thing we do have here, on a much smaller scale though. I absolutely agree for many reasons these are an excellent idea and I encourage anyone to have one to have a rumage around. The best and freshest are found here. It does look like the one in Montpellier, even down to the ladies skirts!
One of the very first photos on my blog was from my local farmers' market. The veg they do is always so much tastier than the supermarket veg. Ours is a bit smaller - probably 20 stalls - but there's quite a varied amount of stuff on offer.
No roast chicken?
I could make a meal out of good crusty bread and goat cheese. Yummy!
Bread, cakes, samosas, cheese, wine... Yes, yes, yes! Oh yes! (Those are G rated, ok?)
;)
I enjoy these Farmer Markets, but I seldom get the chance to visit. Fun market photo, Marley!
Farmer's Markets are the best! I have a few favorites around here I enjoy.
I'm surprised yours aren't weekly, given that you live in an agricultural region. Very odd.
we have this system followed in the rural areas but unfortunately not prevalent in the urban areas. :(
in south india in karnataka it is called 'saant'.
