Back To The River
I went to visit my dad yesterday, to see how he is doing after his recent back operation, and I had to pass through Tewkesbury. I stopped by one of the bridges to take a handful of photos. None of them were anything special but I quite liked this one. The weather is fantastic at the moment. It would have been a great day for jumping on a boat, chugging off down the Avon and finding a nice spot for a picnic, but I had to check on the patient! He is doing very well. The pain he has had in his leg for many years has gone, he is just a bit sore from the surgery. Well, I suppose having a disc removed would make you a bit sore!

All the best to you dad, Marley. Sounds like the surgeons did a great job. :)
The photo is wonderful (that scene would make a lovely painting).
Great picture, it is good to see that the canals still get some use!
Great job MArley! I really love the fact that you have captured the fine weather! and the river is fantastic!
Thanks for welcoming me back! Have a great week! School starts tomorrow! God Bless^^

A splendid river scene. I do hope your father has a speedy recovery.
Glad to know your dad is getting better.
Hey your shot makes me feel like leaving my never-ending work and just go out there to enjoy the sun and water!
That is a good picture - what a gorgeous day to be messing about on the river.
Glad to hear your dad's doing well - here's hoping for a full (and quick!) recovery.
Sorry I've not commented on the blog for a few days - real life and all that, you know how it is! Just catching up with everyone now!
The boats are lovely and that does indeed look like such a nice spot for a picnic. I'm so glad your Dad is doing well. That's great news!
I mentioned going through locks and barging to chuck in seattle when i was in brum. Lovely image.othing more peaceful than lazing on a barge.
