Theme Day - Feet

Another first of the month and another Theme Day across the CDPB community. This months theme is Feet (in case you hadn't guessed!) Don't ask me who these feet belong to, as I took this photo on the sly! I was taking a photo of the feet of the Holst statue, in Imperial Gardens, when a woman sat on the edge of the fountain and dipped her feet in the water. Perfect, I thought, so I surreptitiously snapped a shot! I'm really pleased with the result, all the elements came together - the light, the water droplets and, of course, the feet! Not very original, but that's me.

The water caught my the light and the skin tones, so natural, remind me of one of my favourite artists- Lucien Freud. To capture the mundane to create a wow shot is what a photographer does, or aims to do. Today, that's you. Take a bow, I love it.

Yes, very Freud. Great shot. Wonder if she'll recognise her own feet?

You may not think it's original, but I think you did a great job. I, too, like the water elements in the photo.

such detail as to how you were led from holst to the unknown lady is delightful

I had contemplated doing a photo of my own feet, but didn't make it to do a pedicure on time! Nice tootsies.

Ah, cool water on washing over toes after a barefoot afternoon walk! What joy!!

Whatever you think of the photo, I think it is just great, because it connects to ME! (And no, those are not my feet:))

I guess the lady knew what the theme for June is and wanted to give you a hint... :-)

It's a good thing the UK doesn't have laws against taking pictures of people's feet! ;)

a day to set foot in the water

I noticed that there aren't too many actual feet, aside from babies. Maybe it was original after all.

Kinda sneaky! She has neat feet!

Good, down-to-Earth feet - nothing fancy-shmancy. I agree on the nice lighting and the water drops. Happy feet day! (Hmmm, happy feet...sounds like a catchy movie title).

very normal and peaceful and looks like what I would do.

did you zoom in or crop? Seems like you were towering over her to get this angle. Pretty out of the ordinary i would say to go to these lengths for theme day!
