The words above are on the bottom of this poster, which is on the noticeboard of St Philip & St James' Church in the Leckhampton area of Cheltenham. The inspiration for the poster has come from stained glass. I'm not religious but this really caught my eye. The colours are so vivid and the more you look at it the more you see. Can you see the stars, a crescent moon, the sun setting and the sea? Or do you see something different to me?

I'm not totally clear on this...is this a poster of a stained glass window? The window must be spectacular. Althought the subject matter is different, it reminds me of the blue Chagall windows in the Chicago Institute of Art on Michigan Avenue in the Windy City. The blues on those are also both vivid and subtle.
Chagall artwork, the blue does come to mind, and yes top left moon and stars. No wonder it caught your eye. It's so livley. Art can be found in the strangest of places. Nice catch
i see a very attractive riveting visual... beautiful!
I saw a lonely owl! My niece told me that she noticed dragon fly's eye!
Blue glass is the prettiest there is.
Very Chagall-like indeed . . . I see a sailboat on the sea. I would really like to see the original art this came from . . . what a feast for the eyes.
I see Van Gogh ressurrected as a stained glass artist! "Starry, starry night..." I love this too!
I was sure it was stained glass. I am not too far off, hehe. The colors are gorgeous. Is that a very modern church? Looks a little contemporary.
I love stained glass...this one is lovely....
It reminds me of Don McLean's song "Vincent" Starry, Starry night....
It's a lovely picture. I saw boat sails too.
i see what you see =) and i thought it was a real stained glass until you said it was a poster! (i can see the words now too =))
Nice find! Not an outwardly religious person myself, but this image is quite inspiring.
I am pretty religious and this reminded me of Don Bosco's church, Matunga, Bombay, where Mom and I would go for Mass most Sundays. Nice!
