Shapes

Lots of new buildings - offices and homes - are appearing around Cheltenham. Not as many as at the height of the property boom, but new-builds are still happening. These modern town houses, just off of Imperial Gardens, have a funky design with interesting shaped windows, different textures and unusual features. I quite like them, though they are very expensive, so I won't be buying one anytime soon!

I'm away for a few days. I'll catch up with your blogs next week.

Light Fantastic

Well, not overly fantastic, but new and trendy for Cheltenham. These are the new lights in the ongoing renovation of the Regent Arcade (I told you I was obsessed!)

Watching Over You

Looming large in the background is Eagle Tower and, as a complete contrast, the statue of King William IV in the foreground (click the links for previous posts with all the info you could ever need!) Not much more to say other than old and new make an interesting photo.

Old And New

This is The Bayshill pub, at the edge of the town centre, with a new shiny office block in the background, on what used to St James' railway station. The train station shut many years ago and for a long time was a car park, before the Council sold the land for building. Now the area is occupied by office blocks, flats and a supermarket. Now that's what you call an original use of waste land!
