Affordable Art

These bright glass sculptures are in the window of Cheltenham Art Gallery And Museum. They are part of a display advertising Affordable Art in the Museum shop. The Everlasting Flowers are handmade by Gooey Glass, based in Lechlade-on-Thames in the Cotswolds, and are yours for £150 for the large one and £120 for the small one. I need art to be a bit more affordable than that!

Check out Steve Callender's work at Gooey Glass.

They are so cheery/cheerie/happy! So is the photo.
I did a double take on the price too. How big are they? Is that a 2x4 stand?

Well Gary and I are obviously in the wrong job. How much. In this day and age and econmic climate, bang out fo order. As you can see not a happy bunny at the moment, hence my absence. Your vibrant inage is cheery though, and that is priceless.

It would be wonderful to have these against a window! But not at that price!

To be honest, I'd rather have these than the art that I'm featuring this week.

How big are they? I'm thinking they need to be about 10 feet in height to have good value. Definitely not affordable for me!

I don't know if I'd call that affordable either. They certainly are pretty and cheerful though. You just have to be careful not to knock one over if you owned it!

Amazing what prices artworks demand until you want to sell one!

I think the colour is very nice! The name they give is Everlasting Flowers makes me smile.
