Dragonfly Dress

Today's post is for all you wedding fans out there or for all you old romantics out there. I'm not sure that the two go hand-in-hand! Anyway, this posh wedding dress shop is in Suffolk Parade, an area of Cheltenham with an eclectic mix of independent shops, bars and cafes. The shop stocks dresses from several different British designers, with designer price tags to match!

Although I've posted the photo in black and white, with a bit of romantic haze, the colour of the shop frontage isn't that different and I thought the lack of colour focused the photo, if you know what I mean! Not much more to say other than if any of you ladies out there are planning your nuptials the Dragonfly website is here.

sweet! somehow this seems so appropriate before Valentine's day. Maybe cuz a friend from work is getting married on Valentine's. It's supposed to rain - in So Cal - one of 10 rainy days a year we get here!

I don't need the dragon fly. I have a baby and a tv. Ha! Ha!

Thanks for popping in to the Kuwait blog.

Me again. I'm always intrigued by blogger ESP. Yesterday I saw Kim in Seattle's post(couldn't remember at first where I'd seen this), which also features (I think)a wedding dress. Go see:http://seattle-daily-photo.blogspot.com/2009/02/heart-on-display.html

I love that you did this in black and white!

Love the simple lines of the dress on the right — but at designer prices? No thanks! (I am so glad I'm done with this. I can't imagine the cost of staging a wedding nowadays.)

It looks much more romantic than the shop I bought my wedding dress from, which looks like a little tin box in the Gorbals! (nothing Gorbals about the prices though, sadly for my bank balance!)

Wedding dresses don't do it for me, but sensational photography does. If they don't contact you and ask to use this image there then they are really missing out. I know excatly what you mean in you text and you were so right to go mono. This is one helluva image and the thinking to soften the outline was inspired.

So very romantic...perfect for a pre-Valentine's Day post! I love the softness around the edges and the b&w. It's just beautiful!
