Mini Icicles

Brrrr...it's cold. Well, not as cold as some of your winters but cold for us. The temperature has been as low as -6c at night, we've had frost on the ground for almost a week and icicles have started forming. OK, they are only a few inches long but it's the best I could come up with! These ones were hanging on one of the bins at work. I like all the little air bubbles in them. They look like little pieces of blown glass.

How cold is it where you are?

Marley you probably don't want to know....it's 64F. Now it's raining and foggy but I got hot in my sweatshirt today. Oh and those icicles. I started humming "Eight Maids a Milking...." for some reason. Great shot though!

I'm laughing at Virginia's "eight maids a milking!"

You've actually made the bin look pretty in this shot. Wonderful! But so cold! I think it got down to 19C again these past few nights. For us, that's cold! We've been sleeping with thick blankets and socks on ;D

Milking maids hysterical, and glass blown I see. Cool shot, bad pun.

Ice is nice! The temp in Quincy is 27F but the wind chill factor makes it seem a lot colder. Everyone who ventures outside is bundled up pretty well.

I like the little air-bubbles trapped in the ice. Very artistic shot.
We are such wimps here - yesterday it was foggy & 46 deg F & I put on my ski jacket while herding the cats back inside about 11 pm. Our record low for Jan was 25 deg F in 1949. We ate outside today - it's the reason everyone puts up with the traffic (not that many crowds in RPV.)
Thank you so much for the nice compliment on my SWF. I think I have learned so much about good photos visiting CDP blogs.

grr - blogger crashed as I was leaving my comment and lost it -- I never really noticed air bubbles in icicles before was the main gist of what I said - cheers

Well pretty much the same as you Marley lol! Goodness how I wish I'd captured these icicles though. I love to suck ice and these make me thirsty. I know, I know...
I shall keep my eyes peeled today for some. My garden is full of frost - does that count? :)

It's about 12 degrees Fahrenheit here. Brrrr. Those are such gentle icicles. The ones hanging from my house look like lethal weapons. BYT, thanks for visiting.

Love icicles. I remember Christmas at my Grandparents old farm. The adults would break off icicles for their drinks. Which led us kids to lick them like pop sickles.

Late this morning, (after 10 AM) the sun came out and is warming up to o degrees F, that is -18 degrees C. Oh, and it snowed again last night. (sigh)

Minus 9 centrigrade here! Not too bad really, since there's no wind. I like your icicles and icicles in general.

Mini for sure. Did you need a ladder to get this close :)

Brrr! Personally, I'm ready for spring sunshine!

We've seen cold recently, 11 degrees F this morning, but then, it was 55 degrees F last week??? Strange winter.

AT least they are not big enough to hurt you when or if they fall! Nice one.
