Sky Watch Friday

Here we are, another week over, the weekend ahead and its Sky Watch Friday time. This kite had a man in a buggy on the end of it, being pulled along by the power of the wind. It looked a bit bumpy as he speed across a field. Unfortunately the shots with the buggy came out all blurry but at least I got this one decent photo.

To get involved with Sky Watch Friday, and to see all of the other sky inspired photographs, head over to the Sky Watch Friday blog.

Sounds like a neat way to travel!

I watched a program on this kind of flying and the guy got caught up in a certain kind of cloud that took him up to dangerous heights and he should have died but somehow managed to fly out of the cloud and then could descend.

My photo is at Canon Pixels

Unusual kite and perfect for Skywatch.

I've seen them do it on long empty beaches, but never in fields. It looks like some caterpillar flying through the air.

This is like a Magritte painting! Cool!
Too bad you don't have a video of buggy man, I'd like to see that.
Happy SWF.

The wind must have been awfully strong to pull someone in a buggy! That's a cool looking kite. You made us all wonder what it was!

That's a pretty unusual shape for a kite. How big was it?

Oh, and that yellow flower thing is a chiboust with mango (the flower petals). Not lemon, but I think you'd like it anyway. ;)

It's aso an odd shape ballon. Are they always this shape? I read in the paper today that a mad frenchman is going to fly across the channel with a set of power wings. There will be one parachute for him and another for the wings for the landing. I think the landing is in Dover.

What a fab picture. I saw a couple of guys doing this sort of power kiting a couple of months ago, and it was IMPOSSIBLE to take their picture - you'd think they'd have stopped for a couple of seconds for me, wouldn't you?!
