Dahlia

Another quick one today. This dahlia just says to me the summer is over and autumn is coming. I'm always amazed at how many petals make up a dahlia flower. Mother nature is pretty impressive!

Thanks for all of your comments. Normal service will be resumed at the weekend.

Arrgh, noooo: vade retro dhalias! This is the exact variety that makes me think of those underwater slimy creatures. Brrr, it moves... I can see those tentacular petals moving! Yes, I can see it! Told ya I had a thing against Dahlia. ;)

Have a good few days off - hope everything is ok.

That's a magnificent photo. Love the yellow. I see so many shot like this that blitz the colour and loose the fine detailing. The enlarged shot is exceptional. Very well done.

Marley, you have quite a talent for floral shots. I try closeups, and most of them turn out crap. You're inspiring me to keep trying.

It looks more like....[google the spelling]....chrysanthemum. :-)

But then again, I'm not a flower expert.
