Stickle Brick

Last photo today from Nature In Art. This simple piece was quite impressive. Just some bleached driftwood attached to the red brick wall. Very effective.

If you want to see a close up of this head over to Macro World.

Monkeying Around

Some more graffiti. Although Cheltenham has that horrible, inartistic graffiti in some parts the above style doesn't bother me. I think its quite creative (like the bored heart the other week) When I first spotted this I thought it was an owl but then I realised it's a monkey. Not sure what the two A's are about. How about A Monkeys Arse!

I know lets have a quiz, I haven't done one for ages! So what are the two A's? You must include the word 'monkey' between them. The best answer gets a Cheltenham postcard. Have fun!

Spoken From The Heart

First things first. This photo is in no way a representation of my own love life!

Well, what can I say about today's photo, apart from its a brilliant piece of graffiti/street art. It just leapt off of the wall at me as I walked by. I wonder if the person it was intended for got the message? And whether they did anything about it! I suppose its a sad state of affairs if the only way you can say what you feel is through a public statement like this. Maybe I'm reading to much into this and it is just something someone did and it means nothing at all.

If anyone wants to use this image to pass a message on to someone special in their life, let me know. I'm the sole of discretion!

The Entertaining Game

The title of todays post is my guess. What am I talking about?! I'll explain. Its Sunday. You're bored. Stuck in front of the computer. Looking for something to do to pass the time. Then you stumble on a fun guessing game here at Cheltenham Daily Photo!

I've no idea what this graffiti tag stands for but that's were you come in. I'd like to know what you think TEG stands for. Form an orderly queue and give me your suggestions in the comments box! The best/amusing/inspired answer wins one of my famous free links in Mondays post. Altogether now, WOW!

On The Up

I showed you a model of the new look exterior of the Regent Arcade the other day, and work on that is yet to start, but the renovation to the interior is under way. Workmen have already removed a lot of the marble covering the pillars and walls, and they have rejuvenated the toilets. The next phase is to re-clad the wall high above the shopping area with wood. All this scaffolding signifies the start of that work, which seems to be done at night. I guess they don't want to squash the shoppers below with any falling debris! After this has been done the arched roof will be replaced with a flat glass one. This part of the project has been the most controversial, but it won't be long before they start, so no more complaining!

Wedding

No, not mine! This was a wedding party just after they'd left the Abbey, on their way to the marquee in the walled garden. Seconds after I took this photo the wooden door was closed and the happy couples day was private once more. I just thought this made a lovely photo (ignore the tree!)
