Greyhound Bus

Not quite the famous Greyhound buses that run in America but a poor-mans UK version from way back when. This Greyhound ran from Bristol back in the day (now its all National Express buses.) This one was in Cheltenham's Prom yesterday but I'm not sure why. If it had been carrying passengers it would have been round the corner at the Royal well bus station. Anyway, I liked the look of its retro design and thought it was worthy of sharing here.

On a completely different subject - is anyone else having a problem getting onto the CDPB site? Its been playing up for about the last three days. I did manage to get onto it briefly before it vanished. I saw that someone had posted a comment in the Technical Forum about the site being slow, I tried to post a response but that's when the disappearance occurred! If you can get onto it let the powers that be know there is a problem out here! Cheers.

The Wheels On The Bus...

...Aren't going round! Not on this bus anyway. I spotted running repairs taking place to this broken down Stagecoach bus on Pitville Street. That guy under the bus is a mechanic and not someone who has been squashed! There weren't any passengers waiting on the bus, I presume they had been transferred to another one, so at least Stagecoach didn't have to deal with irate customers!

Bus Stop

I think I'll call this a random filler photo. This was a contender for 'Theme Day - Yellow' this month, but I had stronger yellow shots, now its just a street scene photo of a bus stop. I quite like the depth of field in this photo and the way it leads you to the red bus. Anyway, have a great weekend.

Marley In London

Last week Phoebe and I went to London for a couple of days. I took loads of photos and I thought I'd share a few with you to start the week.

You wait for one bus and then three turn up at once! I like this one of St Paul's Cathedral with the red buses in front.

Jellyfish at the London Aquarium. They aren't really this colour, they are lit in their tanks with constantly changing colours. Very effective.

One of the fountains in Trafalgar Square.

Old and new. The Gherkin building from the Tower Of London.

The Ravens at the Tower Of London. If you want to know more about the birds at the Tower then go here.

Big Ben and the Palace Of Westminster at sunset.

The view at night from our hotel room (it was only a Travel Lodge!) St Paul's Cathedral and Canary Wharf.

Hope you enjoyed as much as we did!
