Sky Watch Friday

Winter Branches

Its Friday and its Sky Watch time! All the trees look like this now, as the longest day of the year approaches and so does Christmas. Not long to go now. I've sent out the cards, wrapped most of the presents, all that's left to do is buy the booze! After all that is what Christmas is about! How are your Christmas preparations going?

To join in with Sky Watch, and to see the skies all over the world, head over to the Sky Watch Friday blog.

I got the booze in first. Bare branches do have a weird beauty which you have captured so beauifully cloaked by that very pretty cool blue sky. Shortest day you know or have you been on the booze already.

Love these bare branches. I rarely get to see them here — no winter, no dormancy.

I've been so busy, I've been wrapping only as needed (read, the night before giving). And we always have booze — no need to single out the Christmas season! :D

Happy Sky Watching!

Nothing left on that tree. Did you buy lots of booze, enough to share?

Those stark branches look great against the sky. We have had rain all week, and will continue into the weekend. And I'm with B. - booze first. Priorites, sir, priorities.

That tree is very well formed . . . must have lots of air space to grow so full. I have miles to go (or kilometers)before I sleep . . . 90% of gifts are done but not wrapped; house was in good shape until "college boy" came home yesterday; tree is up with lights on it; played the entirety of the "Nutcracker" while putting up the tree; cards have been sent; menu planned but not purchased; enjoying the booze on hand while awaiting a snowstorm . . . yep I'm going to make it.

Since you havn't got the booze yet, how about some nice Bombay Sapphire? I'll come and join you in a glass or three, and soon the branches on that tree will twinkle with stars.

A beautiful skywatch photo Marley! You have done well getting all your Christmas tasks done! I'm still tooling along, lol.

I have to get the booze as well. Nick and I drink a mimosa or two as the kids unwrap their presents Christmas morning. It kinda helps to wake me up at the unGodly hour the kids drag us out of bed, lol.

There are lots of bare branches here now, some graced with mistletoe, but too high to reach. Does standing under a tree with mistletoe count for a kiss?

For some odd reason, this reminds me of the hair growing out of an African American baby's head!

I am so not used to you skipping posts without announcing it first. I'm getting withdrawal symptoms.

Still not wrapped Gail's presents yet, or even bought them all. Seems like Christmas has sneaked up on me this year. Probably because it seemed to start in July.

Slowly but surely, our Christmas preparations are forging ahead. So, what type of booze have you got for me? (Virtually that is). I have an award for you today.
