As I mentioned yesterday we visited the Tewkesbury Food Festival on Saturday. The event is in its 5th year and took place in the shadow of the towns famous Abbey. If you like food (and who doesn't?!) then this was the place to be. There were over 70 stalls in the main Food Hall selling any food you could imagine, with the majority being locally produced.
There were plenty of samples to taste to help to get you to part with your cash and lots to see and do - celebrity chefs, craft tent, music, champagne bar, pig roast, a theatre where demonstrations were taking place, to name but a few.
We bought a few things like the chocolate covered ginger below, which is now just a memory. Delicious!

i'll take some chocolate!! great pics!
Foodie Heaven is right! Chocolate cover ginger, I must find and try this!
Did you ask what that monstrous-looking flat fish was on the left? At least it looks like the stall has fillets — I'll get those.
Chocolate-covered ginger sounds mighty interesting! (You should post that photo on your macro blog too!)
Seattle, where I go just about every year and where we used to live, has something similar called The Bite of Seattle in the summer. There you can find just about any kind of food, and sample for a reasonable price. I stopped going because it was so crowded!
I love the fish...
Those catfish look a bit scary!
There was a time, not so long ago, when I thought we might be moving to Tewkesbury. It's not happening now, but if it had I'd have been right there at this festival. Mmmm, fooooood! :)
Oh yes yes this is the place for me. Where is tewkesbury? Sounds Welsh. There are some very strange names of places in tis country. For those who were scared of by the fish.. I could turn it into something you would LOVE.
You have chosen the ugliest fish ever to photograph, but those poor guys taste so good! :-) Fantastic shot! Also like the chocolate macro!
Oh, I would have loved this festival! Thanks for sharing it with us. Those are some scary looking teeth in the first photo!
This is the kind of fair I like. The fish look pretty fresh.
You are tempting me with the chocolates!
(i like those with raisins inside) ;-p
that fish is sooooo scary looking - too scary to eat. I'd have nightmares. Makes for a fantastic photo though - even for non-foodies.
No wonder you wanted to wait till you were feeling better before posting these photos! Scary looking fish!
