Just a stock photo today. Although the sun is shining the threat of rain is never far away, well this is Britain! When I took this photo the bright marigolds were being beaten to within an inch of their lives by the heavy downpours but now they are flagging due to the lack of water. You just can't win!
The beer festival on Friday night was very good (from what I can remember) and I took the tasting very seriously. I tried many different beers and the outcome I reached was - beer is good!

Our weather sounds similar — if it's not monsoon rains, it's summer-strength sun.
Your raindrops make me both sleepy and sad, but the marigolds add a lovely touch of cheer. Nice.
And LOL at your description of the beer festival! ;D
such a lovely picture! so well composed!
am glad that you reached a correct conclusion at the end of your research on beer! cheers!
I like your photo and admire your concern for the plants around you. It is a good sign.
Nope, I don't feel bad for the flowers. Marigold and Dahlias (except those that looks like slimy sea creatures) are probably the only flowers that I absolutely cannot stand. Argh!
Love the circles in the rain = I can hear the rain from here!
Ah! poor floewers. I mean I know they need the rainfall, a little gentler please. Discovered, or can you remeber discovering any new beers.
Great photo, I can almost hear the drops plonking down into the puddle.
And your beery conclusion - I concur! Well done you!
I can also hear the rain drops across the Atlantic ;).
It's a bit early for Octoberfest. I'm with you on good beer or beer being good. My son just finished his second batch of home brew, an IPA. I can't wait to give it my taste test. I'll try to photograph it but the truth is in the tasting . . .
Rain is good, marigolds are good, but beer is better!
Just a stock photo? It's gorgeous!
beautiful opposition enters the coloured flowers and this sad and dark rain
What a poetic composition.
Glad you managed to get home safely after all those beer tasting :)
All that rain water should keep the marigolds revived for a while.I like the way the puddles showed up as the rain fell.
Too much Guinness, eh? Or, what else was considered a good beer? Beautiful photo, love the splash of colors set against the wet grey street and water drops.
Post a photo of "raindrops on rose and whiskle on kittens" and I will sing you a song in my faux-English accent.
Don't you just love a challenge??
